I do think Synkro sounds a lot like Burial. They use the same garage beats, pitched vocals with a lot of reverb and atmospheric ambient sounds. I like Synkro, but Burial is just on another level imo

The best I've heard it explained was on some Synkro vid on youtube, in the comments.
Synkro is a lover, Burial is lonely.

Im gonna bump this thread a little. I'm wondering what you guys mean when you talk about filtered drums. Do you mean that he just smacks an autofilter on different drum groups or individual channels, and then plays around with automation? Or are there some more advanced techniques involved that you are refering to?

I absolutely love the drum work on this track. Im not sure i can hear any filter tho. Sounds more like carefully selected sounds played around a bit with velocity and pitch to me, and with some reverb used on some hits. Would be extremely thankful if someone could fill me in if i am missing something here. Is there any special kind of compression used on these drums? Do he use transient shapers to tidy up the sounds?

Im relatively new to producing, so please dont tear me apart if you find any of my questions stupid.

Almost 2yr man your on the bump :D
Synkro is amazing. Sick drumworks, and deeep sounds.

He may have some tips. Why not just try to e-mail him :)

It would be amazing to have a Q&A with producers responding to the ppl question. Like in GlitchHopForum :ugeek: @anybody on it ? i will start a thread

But i think the recipes is
love + "good" base sounds + amazing layering + amazing arrangment + "good" mastering + .
