The name was coined by Whistla before the appearance of Future Garage Forum in November 2009.

It was a giveaway free cd with the April 2003 issue of Sleazenation mag.
But according to Joe Muggs he invented the term in 2008: http://rbma.authoring.microsite.redbull ... real-genre

Also a very informative blogpost by Whistla on 'future garage': http://www.whistla.com/2012/02/24/time- ... -response/

This is an old thread with some "real world" ie. published in magazines etc.. articles relating to FG (something I believe Wiki needs to keep pages online? as the old page was removed for lack of real world sources)

Lets hope it stays up this time

The best way I think to keep it online is to use as many quoteable sources as possible and fill out the article with as much detail as possible, such as the Sleazenation CD (this gives history and is also a direct response to UKG people who might be inclinded to try and get it absorbed into the UKG wiki article), the long and tortuous debate over the name (linking to any and all blog posts that love or indeed hate FG), Mosca's comments on FG (link to the Rob Da Bank "FG Special" and other sources like his twitter etc..). The more of these kind of things that beef out the article the better I would have thought.

Cos when the wiki police come through they will heavily edit stuff they dont think belongs so the more thats there the better

Most of these links are broken, but you're right posting more links and quoting credible sources is a good idea. If anyone feels like editing the article check these links i came across (guardian, fact, timeout, etc):
